Radical Catalyst was born out of a shared commitment to challenge the systems that stifle creativity and silence marginalized voices. Founded in late 2024 by partners Megan and Olivia, the journal was created in response to rising political unrest and growing authoritarianism. Megan, with her passion for literary art and design, and Olivia, with her focus on political organizing and operations, blend their skills to create a publication that stands at the intersection of art, literature, politics, and social justice.
As a queer and feminist–led publication, Radical Catalyst aims to break free from the constraints of traditional publishing—providing a platform where radical thought, unapologetic storytelling, and revolutionary action can thrive. The journal makes space for the feminist, queer, and other marginalized voices who are often sidelined or silenced. It’s a space where writers and artists can express themselves freely and without fear of being too radical, pushing boundaries, or challenging oppressive systems head-on.
With a strong commitment to justice, Radical Catalyst is more than just a publication—it’s a contribution to the fight against authoritarianism, imperialism, sexism, homophobia, and every other force that seeks to suppress freedom, diversity, and creativity. The journal amplifies the voices that need to be heard and fosters the radical change needed to create a more just and equitable world.
